XPS——100% Recycled by GREENMAX recycling Machine

Extruded polystyrene (XPS) is rigid foam material which is strong yet lightweight and flexible, providing an insulation solution that is resistant to water absorption. This makes it ideal for a range of building and commercial applications. The XPS foam board has the following advantages:

The extruded polystyrene is 100% recyclable and reusable. Post-consumer XPS boards could be recycled into pellets and many producers mix the recycled XPS with new material to produce new insulation boards.

However with the character of lightweight and flexible, the XPS foam recycling faces huge difficulties. In order to solve this problem and offer a better recycling solution, GREENMAX introduced the foam compactor and foam melting machine to reduce the volume and make it easy to store and transport. The foam compactor could compress the XPS foam with a 50:1 ratio; the melting machine could reduce the volume with the ratio 90:1. Besides that, GREENMAX also provide a shredder to make the compacted or hot melted XPS into scraps, which could be transported to a reprocessing line to re-granulate into pellets.
