Polystyrene Paper (PSP) is a foam material which is light-weight, heat preserving, heat resistant, with no toxic chemicals. It’s most widely used in food packaging, as food trays. With the rapid development of the take-out food industry, there is a great challenge to recycle it.

PSP foam is 100% recyclable, and can therefore be reproduced into new products. However due to its lightweight and flexible shape, it’s difficult to put it into the recycling process. In order to solve this problem and offer a better solution, GREENMAX manufactured the SWD system including shredder, washing system, drying system, silo and compactor. This system provides a total solution, taking dirty food trays to scraps to finally compacting it into blocks. If the material is post-industry, GREENMAX also offers a regular foam compactor or melting machine. The compacted foam could also be shredded and transported into the reprocessing line for re-granulating into pellets.
